To say that the 18 year old Kron Gracie has been dominating the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu tournament world is... well, an understatement. The massive amount of press Kron has received use words such as, "Kron wrecked havoc", "devastating performance", "a phenomenon in the jiu-jitsu world", and other similar descriptions. Most BJJ matches are won by points because it is much more difficult (and often risky) to go for the submission, but points mean nothing in a real fight, so real Jiu Jitsu is based on the submission, and for the past few years that is how Kron has won nearly ALL of his matches... by SUBMISSION!
On October 16th we confirmed the official number of CONSECUTIVE tournament submissions by Kron... 28 submissions!
Kron's most recent 1st Place Win was received with a standing ovation after submitting ALL 5 of his opponents at the BJJ World Championships held for the fist time in the United States. Previous to that, in the July 2006 World Cup held in Rio de Janeiro, Kron submitted 5 out of 5 opponents, and one week later at the 2006 World Championships Kron submitted 6 out of 6 opponents taking another 1st Place! Some of Kron's other 1st place wins include the Pan Americans, Copa Pacifica, South Bay Open, NAGA Chicago, and the Gracie United Tournaments.
Kron consistently gives his father, Rickson Gracie, the majority of credit for his accomplishments. Congratulations to both Kron and Rickson Gracie, along with their "Support Team" of training partners, students, managers and assistants at the Rickson Gracie Jiu Jitsu Center in Los Angeles!
If you are interested in taking one or more classes at the Warrior's Cove, we suggest you visit during the class you are interested in. We have a seating area for visitors. You may stop by as many times as you like to watch classes. You may also participate in one free class in each program that we offer. You will find both our instructors and the other members to be friendly, informative, and supportive.
