Megaton Dias Seminar
March 10 & 11, 2001

Wellington "Megaton" Dias conducted a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Seminar with us on Saturday, March 10, and Sunday, March 11, 2001.  Megaton taught numerous intermediate and advanced techniques. Everyone was invited to lunch with Megaton, where he told stories of training, living and competing in Brazil.

Megaton was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. His martial arts training began when he was five years old, under Rogelio Camoes. He has trained under Royler, Rolker and Rickson Gracie; eventually receiving his black belt in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu at the age of eighteen. He has since had the opportunity to train with some of the best Olympic athletes and coaches from around the world. Megaton has represented Brazil in Jiu-Jitsu and Judo tournaments around the world.

Jiu-Jitsu has always been a part of Megaton's life, he continues to train, constantly striving to strengthen his skills and technique. His objective is to continue to champion the Gracie Family tradition, by teaching the fundamental and philosophical aspects of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu with passion and respect.

Founder of the Megaton Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy in 1991; Megaton is the official Representative of the Rickson Gracie International Jiu-Jitsu Association in Arizona.

 


If you are interested in taking one or more classes at the Warrior's Cove, we suggest you visit during the class you are interested in. We have a seating area for visitors. You may stop by as many times as you like to watch classes. You may also participate in one free class in each program that we offer.  You will find both our instructors and the other members to be friendly, informative, and supportive.
