Gi and No-Gi Takedowns That Really Work!

Tom Crone has studied the principles and techniques of takedowns since 1960. Following is a brief list of credentials:

  • He is a 6th Degree Black Belt & the highest ranked Judo Master in Minnesota. 

  • Six time Minnesota State Champion.

  • National Collegiate Medalist.

  • Pan-Am Team Alternate.

  • Trained and coached six 1996 Judo Olympians.

  • Served 6 years on the National Olympic Development Coaching Staff.

  • Co-author of The Basics of Judo.

  • University of Minnesota Judo Instructor since 1995.

If you are interested in taking one or more classes at the Warrior's Cove, we suggest you visit during the class you are interested in. We have a seating area for visitors. You may stop by as many times as you like to watch classes. You may also participate in one free class in each program that we offer.  You will find both our instructors and the other members to be friendly, informative, and supportive.
