Internal Competition Report I looked at my planner last night and realized that this past Saturday was our 6th internal competition. I had a cold during the work week and had to take a couple days off. So Saturday I wasn’t sure if I was ready or not. Anytime you have to go against Josh, Geoff and Andrew you are going to need your “A” game. Mr. Arnebeck gave out advice after matches and discussed what he was seeing. We had a lot of matches that were great to watch. I don’t think we had any ties. Mr. Arnebeck was kind enough to give me a bi this tournament, thanks!!! But I still lost my first match to Josh but only after a sweet takedown. Dan seems to have raised his game. I think the drill of the day is paying off for him. Dan was more relaxed than ever. Geoff was solid against everyone and gave them all a run for their money. Then the match I wasn’t looking forward to against Andrew. Andrew is technical, fast, tough and he is strong like a gorilla. It was a tie with 10 seconds left and I was able to pull off a sweep from guard. Wow that was close. Josh submitted me again in the finals match. Congratulations to Josh for another 1st place finish. Welcome two new team members Jason Rich and Jim Stremel to the competition team. See you all on the mat. If you are interested in taking one or more classes at the Warrior's Cove, we suggest you visit during the class you are interested in. We have a seating area for visitors. You may stop by as many times as you like to watch classes. You may also participate in one free class in each program that we offer. You will find both our instructors and the other members to be friendly, informative, and supportive. If you have any questions that are not answered at this website, please call or email the office nearest you.
