Joshua Lebsock

Rickson Gracie International Jiu Jitsu Association
Blue Belt Promotion

October 22nd, 2005

Joshua Lebsock successfully completed his official Rickson Gracie International Jiu Jitsu testing for Blue Belt with "honors" (he was also awarded a stripe) on October 22nd, 2005! Rodrigo Vaghi (Rickson Gracie's highest ranked Representative) approved the promotion after 5 years of training with over 1200 hours on the mat, and numerous tournament wins in both White AND Blue Belt Divisions, and finally a grueling 3 hour test in Saint Louis, MO.

Keep in mind that most martial arts styles award Black Belt with 3 to 5 years of training (2-4 hours per week), and most of that training is ineffective & outdated kicking and punching in the air (kata, forms, hyungs, etc).

Rickson Gracie established very high standards for belt testing. This is to ensure that those awarded Rickson Gracie International Jiu Jitsu Association Rank will continue to represent the high quality and skills that allowed Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to become widely accepted as the most effective reality based self-defense system in the world!
