Family & Children's Self-Defense
and Life Skills for Children!
Instructors pair adults with adults, and children with children.
The Family Mixed Martial Arts Program provides similar training as our adult MMA program, however, it is optimized for children & young teenagers. It also allows parents to train in the same class as their children if they want to. However, parents have the option of just watching the classes, or simply dropping off their children until class is over. We understand family schedules need to be flexible, so attend as many or as few classes as you like every week! This class provides a friendly, safe and enjoyable format of comprehensive training for children at least 7 years old and above. It provides children realistic self-defense training with a focus on fitness, discipline, respect and concentration! Develops essential skills and attitudes in preparation for the many physical and psychological challenges they will face during the rest of their lives! The training has a very strong emphasis on safety. Life
Skills For Children! Every parent wants the best for their children, and to prepare them for all the challenges that they will face in the future. Effective self-defense skills are certainly important in today's world full of undesirable people. However, the long term benefits of our children's curriculum provides much more than just self-defense skills. Our program provides your child key traits for future success and happiness including:
Proper martial art training is especially suited for children with the following common challenges:
Most parents do everything
they can to teach life skills to their children. It's not an
easy task because this type of education is not found in our schools. Schools
provide knowledge for a career, not skills for a life. It's not
found on our football, soccer or little league fields either. Team sports tend
to focus on how to win a game, not how to win in life. Teaching your child the
life skills of goal setting, focus, discipline, confidence, courtesy and honor, at a young age,
will have a massive impact on the level of success and happiness he or she
enjoys in later life. The Family Mixed Martial Art Program This class has a strong emphasis on the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu style. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu has repeatedly proven effective for small or weaker individuals defending against much larger and stronger attackers. Perfect for children! The Family MMA program is taught and/or supervised by David Arnebeck, the Founder and Head Instructor of the Warrior’s Cove, who is also the student of the legendary Rickson Gracie! Rickson Gracie is widely considered to be the best MMA fighter in the world with an undefeated record of over 400 matches! Rickson espouses strong family values and a healthy life-style. He is the epitome of discipline, honor, determination and sportsmanship. Good qualities to pass on to our children! If your child ever has the unfortunate need for self-defense, you want their training to WORK! Mixed Martial Art has been repeatedly proven as superior to single-style based systems in realistic fighting situations. FBI and Law Enforcement Statistics, as well as thousands of mixed martial arts competitions show that comprehensive training is needed, especially ground fighting where over 70% of real fights end up, on the ground! Comprehensive training must include defense against standing strikes, standing grappling, ground strikes, and most importantly, ground grappling. Most martial art styles focus on standing strikes only! Our MMA program provides effective training in all four areas.
